7/15/17 driving east on the Alcon from Watson Lake to Dawson Creek

We thought this was going to be a long and uneventful day.  We are ready to get home and know that we need to be patient as we travel the many thousands of miles.  Turnout that today was one of our favorite days packed with wildlife sightings and weather changes.

First a bear.

Then a coyote carrying a bunny.

A buffalo in the shadows.

Another bear.

Then a HERD of buffalo.

And many groupings of stone sheep or thin horned sheep.

First ther was one.

Munchies Lake.  Looks green and very pretty. The lighting as T right.

Rainbow after the rain.

And then foggy steam, sleet, hail, and snow.

Originally we were going to go to Yellowknife, NWT.  That will have to be another time. We're ready to get home for this year.

One more bear for the day.  We saw moose and fox but couldn't take the pictures.

Another route to Yellowknife for another time.
